Every year, Christmas paraphernalia seems to inundate London earlier and earlier, and this year is no exception. Mistletoe decorations (my personal favourites) hanging off the roof in Covent Garden, Christmas lights on Regent Street, everything is there to make us feel the holiday spirit.
In all this festive feeling, I was also reminded of another holiday classic – Home Alone. The thought didn’t only make me want to have the traditional Home Alone marathon but also inspired me to take out my Joe Pesci coat.
What is a Joe Pesci coat you might ask yourself. Fear not, I am here to explain. Last year as I was rummaging through my grandma’s wardrobe because her clothes are so much cooler than mine, she brought out a brick red, floor length coat that I fell in love with straight away. Something about the colour and how long (and warm!) it is sold me on bringing it back to London with me.
Now, the reason I named it my Joe Pesci coat is because the first time I styled it I decided to pair it with a turtleneck, a black beanie and scarf, which totally made me look like Joe Pesci in Home Alone (see HERE).
The look I chose here is slightly different to that but I still feel like it honours my Joe Pesci coat.
