I took these photos just before leaving towards the mountains. It was around 9 in the morning and the lighting was just like I wanted it so I rushed my mom to take these pictures. This sweater was an impulse buy back when I had just decided to take it slowly with shopping... I just couldn't resist.

My friend took this photo and I was surprised at how great it turned out to be. It just shows the exact atmosphere, the calm lake and the chilled morning air.

When my parents suggested a few weeks ago that we go to Dubova, a small village in SE Romania I wasn't exactly thrilled. However, when we got there I was stunned. Spectacular views, the Danube and the mountains in the same place, 37 degrees Celsius, our best friends, what else could I wish for?
Before coming back home we visited Baile Herculane, a town that has very many thermal springs and beautiful architecture. To our great disappointment the entire town is now abandoned and very many buildings that once were majestic are now in complete decay. Do any of you know anything about on going projects that take care of cities like this one? I would really love to know!
I was wearing Ray Ban sunglasses, Topshop tank, Victoria's Secret bathing suit top, Zara shorts, Havaianas and Longchamp bag.

This summer has been about red. I bought these boots from Zara before leaving and when I found the skirt at Topshop I knew they would go great together. Anyway, this is one of my favourite looks from London, on Oxford Street, right in the middle of the madness.

This is the outfit I wore at our graduation party in Cambridge. I hadn't worn a dress quite this tight for a while but it attracted quite a few looks, especially as we were all going through Cambridge, mid-day, dressed in fancy dresses and smart suits.
We had a lot of fun, drinking orange juice, as we weren't allowed alcohol, and dancing in one of the oldest hotels in Cambridge.

It's September right now and school started two days ago so I can only look back at these photos and feel very holiday-sick, if such a term exists. I had one of the most beautiful summers, spending two weeks in Cambridge that were exactly the variety I needed at the moment. I met the most beautiful people, saw incredible places and had so much fun I still laugh when I think about some of the crazy stuff I did there. I just want to say I still miss all the friends I met there, and I hope the photos can show at least a fraction of how those two weeks really were. But alas, let's not get melodramatic and get on with what we're here for.

I spent my last day in London walking through the park and eating huge- only found in England- blueberry muffins. I chose a going-for-a-jog-but-not-quite look and sported my -then - new Nike trainers. Neon trainers seem to be all the fashion right now and I honestly can't complain. They had that London quirkiness AND they're extremely comfortable. I also stopped by Selfridges to get some American Apparel nail polishes that I had forgotten two days before during my shopping spree. I honestly wasn't expecting the shopkeepers to still have them and I was prepared to buy them again, but to my surprise, the very nice girls there actually kept them. After my excitement faded though, I realized that this is probably normal, but I don't get to see it very often in Romania.

Silly poses of myself, trying to look professional, while my dad was trying to capture some nice portraits. Lunch in London at The Globe, right after visiting Madame Tussaud's.

My second day in London was less about shopping and more about sight seeing. Being for the third time in London I had already visited almost every touristic place possible, but I still played tourist with my parents, showing them some of my favourite spots in London. I left the hotel dressed in a flimsy, silk skirt but ended up changing in the always reliable jeans...
London was beautiful, even during rainy weather, especially with all the excitement in preparation for the Olympic Games.
Huge ice cream much?!

However, one of my first stops this summer was London, my favourite city in the whole world, so far.
I tend to agree with this statement. Every time I am in London I feel at home. I feel even more comfortable than I do at home because people are so open-minded; no one stares at you if you wear something fashionable or more "out there". And, most of all, it's a city that allows my imagination to go wild, there's inspiration everywhere, something you don't see so often in Bucharest.
But, anyway, here are some photos from my first day in London, enjoy!
I bought these jeans this winter despite my mother's conspicuous looks and it was probably one of the best purchases I've ever done. One girl actually stopped me in the street to ask me where they were from and, after my flustered answer, she told me they were amazing. One just cannot help but love London..
